Wide outlet spacing. 6 easily punch-out knockouts on each side C top/bottom cover, both sides and ends. Easy-to-install back cover where wires are connected. Easily stripped wires for easier removal and faster installation. Ideal for contractors, electricians, and installers, as well as DIY installation guide. Before installation, you may need to obtain a 3/8" cable clamp connector and 3-piece wire connectors or terminal connectors. Decide your cable gauge and ask the store assistant for help which connectors to obtain from your local hardware, electrical supply, or home improvement store. Minimum tools required: A fine to medium Philips screwdriver, a pair of scissors, and a pair of medium-sized slip-joint pliers. Turn off the electricity in the house. Decide where to place this hardwired power strip unit, choose the knockout to use for the wire exit, then gently tap it with the back of a screwdriver or other handy tool. Unscrew the back cover from the unit with a Philips screwdriver. Remove the white/clear plastic insulation sheet and use a pair of scissors to cut a hole about 3/4 in diameter, or large enough to fit where the wires will pass through. If the bottom bump in the back cover is going to be used for the wire connection, a wire clamp connector may not be necessary, so ignore steps 6, 7, and 9 below. Snap the 3/4" wire clamp connector into place. Secure your installation by tightening the large ring screw inside the housing with the pair of slip-joint pliers. Run the wires through
